Subsidised Neutering Scheme

Don't just sit on the fence GET YOUR CAT NEUTERED

A subsidised neutering scheme has been operating in the West Gwynedd Branch area since 1994. Originally run on a small scale and largely funded by Regional Headquarters in Brecon, we are now self-sufficient and in 1998 we assisted in neutering 114 dogs and 205 cats.

The scheme is open to people living in the West Gwynedd area, and in receipt of state benefit i.e. Job-seeker's allowance, Income Support, Family Credit, Invalidity / Disability / Sickness benefit, Widow's or State Retirement pensions and full-time students in higher education. Eligible pet-owners wishing to apply for a voucher should contact the Branch Secretary - Mrs Freda Holme - on:

01758 750356

The vouchers are acceptable at all veterinary practices in the Branch area and are normally valid for three months from the date of issue.

The current level of subsidy is as follows:

  Male Female
Cat £15.00 £20.00
Dog £35.00 £50.00

This represents approximately 40% of the total cost.
