The following schemes are currently available to owners on one or more of the following means-tested benefits (proof required):
Income support, housing benefit, council tax benefit, pension credit, state pension, income-based ESA, income-based JSA, Universal Credit.
CATS
Cat’s Protection and RSPCA Cymru are running a “snip and chip” scheme for £5 per cat. Full details ot the scheme and participating vet practices can be found at https://www.cats.org.uk/what-we-do/neutering/current-neutering-campaigns/wales-neutering-campaign
Proof of relevant benefits must be shown at the time of the appointment.
DOGS
Dogs Trust neutering is available at a cost of £50 for dogs belonging to owners on the means-tested benefits listed above for a restricted number of breeds. Proof of relevant benefits must be shown at the time of the appointment.
For dog breeds NOT covered by the Dogs Trust scheme, RSPCA West Gwynedd Branch will contribute £60 per dog or £75 per bitch for owners living within Gwynedd and on the above list of means-tested benefits.
